Kraft Dinner expands its lineup with new KD Ramen
As Asian flavours are growing in popularity with Canadians for both its affordability and its international appeal, Kraft Dinner is expanding its line of offerings with a more international taste of its new line of cheesy ramen noodles.
To celebrate the launch, KD is teaming up with 7-Eleven Canada, to give Canadians an exclusive first taste of KD Ramen before it rolls out nationwide.
The popular brand of instant noodles rides on the trend of Korean-style ramen, similar to the Otoki trend for spicy, cheesy noodles.
For customers looking for quick, affordable but more international options for a fast meal, the fusion of Asian-inspired noodles paired with the more nostalgic flavours of cheese has also offered three levels of spiciness for those looking for a twist on an old favourite, and those who want the traditional cheesiness of their mac and cheese.
The limited-time offering will be available June 25-27 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m at select locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
The KD Ramen lineup will be available to Canadians starting this July and includes three options:
- Cheesy Ramen: Only a hint of subtle spice.
- Extra Cheesy: Described as “for those who love KD, but don’t like spice.” This features the same seasoning of mild ramen combined with the familiar KD cheese.
- Extra Spicy: For KD fans who want some heat.
“For generations, Canadians have turned to KD for comfort, craveability, and unmistakable cheesy flavour,” said Kelly Fleming, chief marketing officer for Kraft Heinz Canada. “With KD Ramen, we’re bringing that iconic KD cheesiness to an entirely new aisle and occasion. It's a bold new way for Canadians to experience the flavour they know and love.”
