According to the City of Toronto, towards the end of 2023, there were 10,183 actively homeless people in Toronto. The Good Shepherd Ministries saw an increase of nearly 30% in demand for meals, serving over 1,000 meals and snacks per day. The Good Shepherd Ministries served over 330,020 meals in 2023.

Rima Rabba, head of marketing with Rabba Fine Foods says the company's support for the work that Good Shepherd Ministries does aligns with the value of Rabba Fine Foods' founder. "Rabba cares about the community a lot. We really want to be there for our communities," she continues. "Being here for our customers is one thing, but being here for the larger community is another thing. That's something that's important to us. For the men who use The Good Shepherd Ministries, it is important to give them the sense of comfort and celebration and normalcy, and give them a hot meal and some camaraderie and a little bit of excitement for the day. And the Super Bowl is a great sporting event to get that."
