Rabba Fine Foods has made its winter season donation to Food Banks Mississauga through its Rabba Roots Community Giving Program.

The donation includes essential items from Maple Leaf Foods, Lassonde, Kruger and Dare Foods

The Rabba Roots Community Program collected 3,000 pounds in total. This contribution was curated to ensure local families have access to nourishing meals and daily essentials throughout the holiday season and challenging winter months.

"This initiative is a powerful example of what strong partnerships can achieve for our communities," said Rima Rabba. "We are proud to work alongside Food Banks Mississauga, whose dedicated team works tirelessly to support our vulnerable neighbours with essential items. We extend our deepest gratitude to our wonderful partners— their commitment is a key part of this donation."

Rabba’s donation included fresh produce such as apples, bananas, oranges, pineapples, Bear Paw cookies, Schneider’s bacon, and Cashmere bathroom tissue. The delivery also featured Allen’s Fruit Juice, Chef Boyardee, Heinz and Bush’s Best canned essentials.

"Lassonde has a deep dedication to supporting food security and the well-being of our communities,” added Brandon Howell, of Lassonde. “We are proud to provide assorted juices to support Rabba’s work in the community. Our partnership with Rabba, especially including community efforts such as this one, is something we cherish deeply.”

"There continues to be a food insecurity emergency in Mississauga, and last year, Food Banks Mississauga saw a record-breaking half a million visits—the highest ever in our history," said Daisy Yiu, director of marketing and communications at Food Banks Mississauga. "That's why we are grateful for partners like Rabba Fine Foods, who step up again and again to support us so we can be there for neighbours in need who turn to us and our network of 60+ food programs for food support."
