Rabba Roots Charity Golf Classic supports local GTA communities

Annual Brampton event rallies key vendor partners to drive local charity giving and community impact across the greater Toronto area.

Brampton Golf Club flushed red with pride yesterday as Rabba Fine Foods hosted its 28th annual Rabba Roots Charity Golf Classic.

The company colours represented Rabba’s, the lead sponsor of the event and served as an expression of corporate pride shared among the local and regional partners who gathered in Brampton to celebrate their collective community efforts over the past year.

The annual event serves as a platform to highlight the work of Rabba and its vendor partners in delivering quality service and value to convenience customers, while recognizing local charities that receive support through Rabba Roots, the company's community investment program.

Last year, Rabba Roots donated cash, in-kind products, real-estate space and time to a wide assortment of organizations across the Greater Toronto Area. Beneficiaries included Trillium Health PartnersFood Banks MississaugaGood Shepherd Ministries and the Grocery Foundation, alongside local schools and other community groups.

"This event has become a deep-rooted tradition for all of us," said Rick Rabba, president of Rabba Fine Foods. "Through it, we make an important statement that our communities matter tremendously to us. And we’re touched, year after year, to see the extent to which our business partners agree. Yet again, they have come out in large numbers to help us celebrate the contributions and activities of the past year and to look ahead toward the future."

Numerous new and longstanding industry partners helped make the event a resounding success, including Maple Leaf Foods, LassondeCoca-Cola and Italpasta.

Through these strong vendor partnerships, Rabba continues to support local organizations that provide vital access to food, health and essential services across the GTA.
