Subway Canada announces two new key leader appointments

Denny Downie and Reza Kouhang take on roles in marketing and development at the company.

Subway Canada has announced the appointment of two new key leaders—Denny Downie as head of marketing of Canada, and Reza Kouhang, head of Development for Canada.

Downie brings more than 15 years of restaurant and retail leadership experience to his new role and Subway Canada says he will play a “pivotal role in expanding Subway Canada's offerings while delivering innovative and engaging marketing initiatives.”

His background includes leading marketing at Sporting Life and a successful tenure at Recipe Unlimited where he grew some of Canada’s largest restaurant brands.

Subway Canada in announcing the coming onboard of Kouhang says he “is a seasoned QSR professional, will focus on driving key priorities, including the brand’s expansion across Canada, with exciting openings and renovations planned in the coming months. Kouhang brings a wealth of experience working with several of Canada’s largest brands, including Yum! Brands, where he was most recently the chief financial and development officer at KFC Canada and Indigo Books and Music.
