KDRP Canada introduces Bloom Sparkling Energy to Canada: Here's where to find it

Research indicates that convenience stores sell the most energy drinks, and women are an untapped market. Bloom Sparkling Energy aims to elevate the better-for-you beverage space with its female-led brand.

One of the U.S.'s fastest-growing energy drinks is crossing the border.

Bloom Nutrition is a health and wellness brand with a cult following among millennial and Gen Z women. The drink was designed to compete on both taste and function. It’s zero sugar, lightly carbonated and powered by naturally sourced caffeine from green coffee bean extract, with prebiotics added for gut health support. Since its US debut in 2024, it has grown into one of the most recognized names in the better-for-you energy space.

Launching in convenience stores indicates market awareness

The launch follows a phased retail strategy, prioritizing convenience stores where energy drinks sell fastest. Canadian shoppers can find it at 7-Eleven locations across Ontario and Western Canada, as well as Alimentation Couche-Tard banners in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. It will also be available through Amazon Canada, with all three channels opening up in mid-April 2026.

“The energy market within Canada continues to evolve at a rapid pace as consumers seek better-for- you options. Bloom answers those consumer trends and delivers on something entirely new.  Canada remains a key strategic growth market for the full portfolio of Nutrabolt brands, and this now includes Bloom.” said Justin Becker, Senior Vice-President, INT Nutrabolt. “We’ve seen incredible momentum in the U.S., and teaming up with KDP Canada gives us a great degree of confidence that we can scale across major retail chains throughout the full Omni Channel”.

The Canadian lineup launches with five flavours: Raspberry Lemon, Juicy Orange, Peach Mango, Strawberry Watermelon and Crisp Apple. All come in 355ml slim cans – a format that’s become standard in the premium drink segment.

female-focused offering boosts sales

KDP Canada’s decision to lead with the convenience channel is no accident. It’s where new energy drinks gain traction fastest, driven by impulse purchases and on-the-go consumption. The brand also fills a strategic gap in KDP Canada’s portfolio: One that VP of Cold Beverage Jean Gagnon described as targeting a female-skewing audience that the energy category has long overlooked.

“This exclusive partnership is a unique opportunity for KDP Canada to bring the #1 trialed energy drink to Canadians at scale,” said Jean Gagnon, Vice-President, Cold Beverages, KDP Canada. “People are increasingly looking for healthier options that don’t compromise on taste or experience. Bloom Sparkling Energy fits squarely at the intersection of taste and function, and it perfectly complements our energy platform with a female focus offering. Bringing an option for a crowd that is underrepresented in the category.”
